As the largest supplier of machine tools into the UK the service team at XYZ Machine Tools is kept busy with annual service calls and installations. As such they need reliable transport and also to have the right tools and equipment on-hand to help reduce downtime for customers. The recent arrival of its new fleet of Ford vans will help increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire service operation.

The XYZ Machine Tools branded vans have been equipped with the latest BOTT storage systems to ensure that each service engineer is fully equipped to deal with regular service calls. The interiors were discussed in detail and designed by BOTT for optimum use of space allowing us to carry more spares than in previous vans. To ensure that the interiors met the exacting standards each van was taken to BOTT’s Bude facility to ensure a secure and robust fitting, the result will ensure that the amount of time a machine may be out of circulation will be reduced.

This significant investment in customer facing service with its 17-strong team of service engineers located across the country, who work alongside the internal service support team. The eight-person internal team is now located in a new dedicated service hub at XYZ Machine Tools Burlescombe headquarters, part of a new extension to the factory. They are available to talk customers through issues, many of which can be resolved over the telephone.
