Service & Warranty Sales Advisor XYZ Machine Tools

Department: Service & Aftersales 

Location: Burlescombe, Nr Tiverton, Devon

Working hours: Full time – permanent
Mon – Thurs: 7:45am – 5:00pm
Fri: 08:30am – 12:30pm

The Aftersales department is looking for a Service & Warranty Sales Advisor, responsible for promoting and selling service and warranty packages to customers via inbound and outbound telephone calls. The role also involves managing warranty and service claims from initial contact through to completion.

This position requires a proactive sales mindset, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the service department.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Proactively sell service contracts and extended warranty packages to existing and prospective customers.
  • Handle inbound enquiries relating to service agreements, warranties, and maintenance packages.
  • Conduct outbound sales calls to generate new opportunities and follow up on leads.
  • Build strong customer relationships and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable service solutions.

Claims Administration:

  • Manage service and warranty claims from initial report through to resolution.
  • Coordinate with engineers, parts departments, and third-party providers to ensure timely completion of claims.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service activity, claims, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in line with company procedures and manufacturer guidelines.

Coordination & Support:

  • Work closely with the service department to ensure smooth delivery of services.
  • Provide feedback to improve service offerings and customer experience.
  • Assist in scheduling and workflow coordination where required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the service function.

 

Skills & Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Proven interest in sales, ideally with experience in a telephone-based sales environment.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

Advantageous:

  • Previous experience handling service or warranty claims.

 Personal Attributes:

  • Self-motivated and target-driven.
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

CNC Machine Tools Field Service Engineers

Department: Service & Aftersales 

Location: Based in the North of England, though role will be nationwide. 

Working hours: Full time – permanent

We are looking for an experienced CNC service engineer ideally from within the machine tool industry to join our dedicated team of field-based service engineers (turning & milling experience would be a strong advantage). 

The successful applicant will have done a minimum of a 4-year apprenticeship in the engineering sector preferably with machining experience. The applicant should be comfortable working with machine tools & have excellent communication skills. Experience with ProtoTRAK® and Siemens controlled machines beneficial although not essential as training will be given on control requirements of the machines.  

Main responsibilities 

  • Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of manual and CNC machine tools 
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults 
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximise machine reliability and uptime 
  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting at customer premises 
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation 
  • Liaise with internal teams (service desk, parts, technical support) to ensure efficient resolution of issues 
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and professionalism 

    Full training is provided and will initially be at our Devon HQ and further training will be given onsite by senior team members – as well as an ongoing training programme with a personal development plan to keep us at the forefront of the industry. 

    Please note: role will involve some nights away and visits to customer sites, and XYZ showrooms nationally
