XYZ Machine Tools has announced a major investment in its service support and training of service engineers with the planned opening of a dedicated service, repair, refurbishment centre in Nuneaton and an expansion of its team of service engineers. This new facility will provide a stand-alone training facility for new engineers and an opportunity for already experienced engineers to refresh their skills. “In the past we have had a system of training where new service engineers have shadowed our experienced engineers. This has worked well, but we can see the benefits of a dedicated facility, where machines will be available to work on and we can introduce and fault-find specific problems,” says Nigel Atherton, Managing Director, XYZ Machine Tools. “This fault-find and fix regime will provide a much broader training programme for our new engineers to ensure a speedier service for customers.”
Investment and expansion is delivering enhanced service support for XYZ Machine Tool customers.
To provide the range of machines on which these service engineers can train, this new facility will also become home to XYZ Machine Tools’ stock of used machines. As these machines come into stock the engineers will work on them to refurbish them ready for sale, as well as use them as test vehicles for service training. “Service is a vital component of any machine tool business, which is why we are continuing to invest in training and enhanced customer support. This new facility and expanded service team will give a further boost to XYZ Machine Tools reputation for high standards and quality service.”
