Sales of XYZ Machine Tools’ range of machine tools, particularly its ProtoTRAK controlled mills and lathes, are showing strong growth across Europe, with sales now representing 13 per cent of company turnover.
From the turn of the year sales have steadily increased thanks to renewed manufacturing confidence, particularly in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Netherlands and Belgium. Overall sales in 2021 so far are already 33 per higher than the previous year and are predicted to double by the year-end. “It is encouraging that sales in many European countries are returning to pre-pandemic levels. We are also seeing increased numbers of orders from educational establishments across the continent including France, Germany and the Netherlands. And, while Covid and Brexit should have created the perfect storm both are now having limited impact on our export sales,” says Howard Bamforth, Export Sales Director, XYZ Machine Tools.
September will see ten machines loaded and despatched to customers in Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden and Spain. While travel to visit these customers has been restricted, the export team at XYZ Machine Tools has remained active and a Norwegian dealer has just come on board to add to the distribution network for XYZ machines. “Our new Norwegian partner is based just outside Oslo and, is the first of several new outlets for our range of machines that we hope to secure before the end of this year,” says Howard Bamforth.
This growth in export sales is further encouraging news for XYZ Machine Tools, which has also seen strong growth across the UK as the UK economy continues to bounce back from the Covid restrictions.
