XYZ is renowned for its short lead times across its range of machine tools, but occasionally quick, just isn’t quick enough. So when Leeds-based Harvey Precision ordered an ex-demo XYZ 2-OP portable vertical machining centre, they went for the takeaway option. The order was placed on the Tuesday, they sent their own transport from Leeds to XYZ in Burlescombe, Devon and the machine was on the shopfloor in Leeds on the Wednesday.
This rapid response was possible as the machine was ex-demo so had already undergone XYZ’s extensive pre-delivery checks, allowing Harvey Precision to get into production in short order.
