Delegates from some of XYZ Machine Tools’ European Distributor network see big potential for the LR range.
The XYZ range of linear rail (LR) vertical machining centres was well received when it was unveiled to representatives of XYZ Machine Tools European distributors recently. The overall consensus from those attending was that the LR range would provide added opportunities for the XYZ brand to be extended across Europe and build on the record-breaking end to its current financial year in terms of European sales.
“European sales are very encouraging at present with March breaking the previous record and April further exceeding that figure. Therefore, it was an opportune time to bring over our colleagues from our European distribution network and introduce them to the LR range and their reaction on seeing the machines was extremely positive, says Howard Bamforth, Export Sales Director, XYZ Machine Tools.
The key benefit that the delegates saw, which applies equally to XYZ’s home market, was the combination of competitive pricing and technology levels in the LR range. The addition of linear rail machines to the XYZ range allows it to compete on price with similar specified machines on the market, while still offering its box way machines and for high speed applications the higher quality, more rigid, linear roller (as opposed to ball) bearing slides as fitted to its 1060HS VMC. “The inclusion of linear rail technology in our range allows us to meet the needs of a wider range of customers, from those looking for a low-cost route to VMC production to those looking for superior performance as provided by box ways. That applies to our UK and mainland Europe customers equally.”
